my life has always been full of creative, smart and clever people. the incredibly talented artist gale antokal is no exception. working with pastel, ash, charcoal and other materials, she creates ethereal image planes that are other-worldly. i always feel as though i’m in a dream, perhaps one without spectral color, but quite colorful nonetheless. and the narratives created in my mind’s eye change each time i see a piece. they’re never the same, always a new story to tell. brilliant work; i am grateful to have such a talented friend.
